Here are the five players on the Los Angeles Rams roster who could shine in training camp.

From top to bottom, the Los Angeles Rams are loaded with talent.

On paper, the Rams have all they need to be the last team standing to hoist the Lombardi Trophy. Still, there’s no guarantee that will be the case.

A lot can and will happen from now to the last game of the season in mid-February, a game the Rams hope they are part of.

That is still a way away right now, and it will all begin in a few weeks when training camp gets underway. Players will report on July 25, and the excitement surrounding the upcoming season is already palpable.

The Rams have plenty of players on their roster who will do just that, but here are the five players to watch closely during training camp.

5. Jaylen McCollough

McCollough has shown flashes as a playmaker, but will remain in the backup safety role in 2026.

Nonetheless, after going undrafted in 2024, McCollough has panned out a solid career and has established himself as an important role player in Chris Shula’s defense.

McCollough already does three things well: he’s versatile, he tackles great in open space, and he can match up against tight ends. However, his struggles against the run and his need to become a more complete defender are areas he will need to improve on moving forward.

If the 25-year-old can improve in those departments, McCollough will see a big increase in defensive snaps and then some.

The 2025 season was not the best for the former Tennessee Volunteer, and in order to avoid seeing a diminished role in 2026, he will need to make more plays on the ball and become a bigger impact player.

4. CJ Daniels

The Rams are still without a clear-cut WR3 on the team, and Daniels has a shot at being just that in his rookie season.

While a spot for that role is highly competitive, Daniels has a chance to prove himself in camp.

The likelihood of that happening right out of the gate is low; however, there is a good chance he can be a consistent, rotational piece for the Rams to start the season and certainly down the stretch.

Daniels can prove to be reliable with his well-rounded package of skills as a pass catcher and blocker. The Rams love physical, willing blockers at the wide receiver position, which is where he could stand out in a big way.

3. Tyler Davis

Davis is one of the forgotten players on the defensive line due to the star power it possesses; however, that could change this upcoming season.

The 25-year-old has positional versatility that allows him to successfully play both nose tackle and defensive end.

Davis may not be high on the depth chart at either position due to the playmakers ahead of him, but a strong training camp could change that.

His quick first step and reliable tackling are tools that could help him in a massive way in those few weeks of training camp.

2. Blake Corum

Corum is not a player who will play any preseason games.; however, it will be fun to see if he can close the gap with Kyren Williams.

Corum will likely remain the RB2; however, his strong finish to the 2025 season showed promise. If he can pick up right where he left off, the Rams' backfield will certainly establish itself as one of the best in 2026.

A strong camp could be all the difference between 145 rushing attempts, which is what he had the previous year, and possibly closer to 200 in 2026.

1. Stetson Bennett IV

Bennett has a chance to finally establish himself as the QB2 for the Rams after being the QB3 in the first four years of his career.

He has some stiff competition with rookie Ty Simpson; however, Bennett is not going up against a veteran for the first time in his career.

The advantage that Bennett does have over Simpson is experience. The battle in training camp and throughout the preseason will be one to behold.

Can Bennett finally break through, or will he let the rookie be the next in line behind Matthew Stafford?
