There are not many holes the Los Angeles Rams have on their roster, but there is one over-the-top move they can still make ahead of the 2026 NFL season.

The Los Angeles Rams roster from top to bottom is strong. One could argue it's the most complete in the NFL, but there are some questions and issues that could appear.

Alaric Jackson getting suspended would significantly alter things, as would the health of Matthew Stafford or Davante Adams rear its ugly head. Even with these what-if scenarios, the Rams could go even more over-the-top than trading for Myles Garrett, with one move.

There is no denying that the offense possesses two of the best receivers in the game. Puka Nacua continues to play at an elite level, and Adams showed his red zone prowess with a league-leading 14 touchdowns.

Despite the strong one-two combo of Nacua and Adams, more is needed. Many believed the Rams would take a receiver at No. 13 overall, but they chose to invest in their quarterback of the future with Alabama prospect Ty Simpson.

That said, there could be a glaring issue with the next receiver to step up. Konata Mumpfield, Xavier Smith, and Jordan Whittington have not quite proven themselves, and a veteran might have to be called on.

If the Rams truly wanted to go more into their win-now and over-the-top structure, they could make a surprising move: sign Tyreek Hill.

Hill suffered a significant injury in 2025, dislocating his knee and tearing multiple ligaments, including his ACL. However, he has stayed plenty active on social media and teased his return to play in 2026.

Despite the injury, Hill remains one of the most prolific receivers in the game. He brought in over 1,700 yards in his first two seasons with the Miami Dolphins, and that was catching passes from Tua Tagovailoa.

Hill was previously working with Patrick Mahomes, and Matthew Stafford is an even better quarterback than that. Stafford can gun the ball downfield and is very accurate, making the match with the former Dolphins pass catcher make perfect sense.

Any team is likely hesitant on bringing the receiver in due to the injuries, but Hill is of a different breed. He has proven that he can play through ailments and still produce.

Hill's recovery video also showed that he appears ready or nearly ready to take the field. If that is the case, it would not be out of the realm of possibility that several teams have already been in contact with him.

Considering the Rams need a receiver and may be looking at Stafford walking away after 2026, what better move than to go out and sign one of the best receivers in the league? Even with the injury concern, it would be a smart move.

Hill, Nacua, and Adams could push the Los Angeles offense into becoming something truly unstoppable.

The Rams could bring Hill in for just one season and revisit a long-term deal in 2027. It may cost a deal north of $10 million, but it's a deal worth making.

If Hill returns in 2026 and is even remotely close to the player he was before the significant injury, he would be a massive upgrade in the receiver room. His dangerous speed and abilities would make defenses have to consider him, opening up more chances for Nacua and Adams, and vice versa.

Stefon Diggs is also an option for the Rams, but the addition of Hill would make the Rams an even more potentially dangerous team.
