Here are the top five games for the Los Angeles Rams in the 2026 season following the official schedule release.

The Los Angeles Rams head into the 2026 season with high expectations. After falling short of a Super Bowl appearance.

The path back to the playoffs and the NFC Championship game will not be easy, as the Rams have the fourth-toughest schedule in the 2026 season; nevertheless, they are the favorites to hoist the Lombardi Trophy.

With many exciting matchups ahead, here is a look at the top five matchups for Los Angeles in 2026.

5. Week 1 vs. San Francisco 49ers

Kicking off this list, we have the season opener against the Rams' most bitter rival, the San Francisco 49ers. Opening this highly anticipated season immediately raises the stakes in The Land Down Under.

Los Angeles will have a chance to make an early statement against one of the best teams in the league. The 49ers will have a chance to do the same.

Emotions will be high, and both teams will look to establish themselves as contenders in the loaded NFC and jockey for the division title.

4. Week 3 @ Denver Broncos

The Broncos have established themselves as juggernauts in the AFC. They, too, were a game away from a Super Bowl title, falling to the New England Patriots in late January.

Playing at that high altitude is never easy. This match-up will be a good measuring stick game early in the season, as it will have a playoff-like atmosphere, it will be a difficult road environment for the Rams, and a potential Super Bowl 61 preview.

If the Rams can win this game, and in a convincing fashion, it will most likely significantly strengthen the narrative that they are among the NFL’s elite.

3. Week 12 vs. Green Bay Packers

The Rams will host the Packers in what will be the NFL’s first-ever Thanksgiving Eve game. By this point in the season, playoff seeding will become critical.

These two NFC powerhouses will certainly be jockeying for that and increase their chances of winning their respective divisions.

This matchup for the Rams comes right after the bye week, which makes it even more important since they should theoretically be rested entering one of the toughest stretches of their schedule.

2. Week 13 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Any matchup against the Chiefs is worth noting, especially since all signs point to Patrick Mahomes returning under center as early as September.

The Rams and Chiefs are no strangers to duking it out, providing fans with some memorable battles, particularly in their 2018 matchup.

This game will likely go a long way for either squad, as it could be a preview of Super Bowl 61 as well. A win over Mahomes and the Chiefs could go a long way for the Rams, especially that late in the season.

1. Week 16 (and Week 18) vs Seattle Seahawks

This list wouldn't be complete without providing two of the Rams' matchups against their top division foe, the Seahawks. The two contests during the regular season were ones to remeber and the same could be said for their epic NFC Championship matchup.

Those two games late in the season will very likely define the NFC West and, once again, could prove who will be the No. 1 seed in the conference.

Playing Seattle twice in three weeks is brutal; nonetheless, it will be a great test to prepare the Rams for some postseason football.
