The Los Angeles Rams appear to be going all-in, but are they done with big trades after landing Trent McDuffie?

The Los Angeles Rams appear to be going all-in again in 2026. The last time they followed a similar formula in 2021, it led to a Super Bowl victory.

The all-in approach included landing players like linebacker Von Miller and cornerback Jalen Ramsey, which helped to bolster and solidify the defense in a big way. With the Rams' moves in free agency, are they poised for another big trade?

Considering the Rams had a big need at cornerback, which was arguably their weakest unit in 2025, the front office got to work immediately in upgrading the unit.

Former Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie was targeted, and the Rams brought him in with the No. 29 overall pick, a 2026 fifth-round pick, a 2026 sixth-round pick, and a 2027 third-round pick.

The Rams then made McDuffie the highest-paid cornerback in the league, awarding him a four-year, $124 million extension, which pays him $31 million per season, beating out the $30.1 million that the Indianapolis Colts cornerback Sauce Gardner makes.

Next, the Rams doubled down, signing Chiefs free agent cornerback Jaylen Watson to a three-year, $51 million deal, effectively upgrading the secondary for multiple years.

With the completely upgraded secondary, the Rams can now look to other areas of improvement, such as bolstering the offensive line in case of injuries, or finding a quality wide receiver to pair with Puka Nacua and Davante Adams.

There have been reports that the Rams were attempting to bring in disgruntled Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown. The issue is that the asking price for Brown is a first-round pick and more.

While the Rams could keep their No. 13 overall pick to land a young talent like USC's Makai Lemon, Brown is a proven wide receiver who would completely change the makeup of the Los Angeles offense.

It would just be up to general manager Les Snead to make that call and offer the No. 13 overall pick and more to bring Brown in.

Even in a down year for Brown, he managed to bring in 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns. With four consecutive 1,000+ yards seasons, he remains one of the biggest downfield threats.

Lining up with Nacua would certainly tip the scales for the Rams, if they were following the same approach as they did in 2021.

Adams is still in the lineup, but he was used more as a red zone threat, and he is also getting older. That is not to say that he is not a viable weapon for Matthew Stafford, as he led the league with 14 touchdowns, but he could be utilized more as an over-the-middle route runner.

Simply put, the Rams would be an especially over-the-top offense if a receiver like Brown was added, and it would make sense for the team to go in on landing him.

While Snead has made some huge moves on the defense already, expect the Rams to potentially go after some bigger receivers on the trade block to truly ensure a Super Bowl run is imminent.
