With Aaron Donald set to return for the 2026 season, here are his top three plays with the Los Angeles Rams.

The Los Angeles Rams have now added even more talent to a very deep roster as Aaron Donald has announced his return for the 2026 season.

With Donald coming back, the Rams have been able to get even better on defense, which is very hard to believe, as they already have a dominant defensive line that includes Myles Garrett, Kobie Turner, Byron Young, Braden Fiske, and Poona Ford in addition to a stacked secondary with Trent McDuffie, Jaylen Watson, Kam Kinchens, Kam Curl, and Quentin Lake.

On that note, Donald now has plenty of players around him who could make his job a lot easier and could potentially help him to get back to the dominant force he was when he retired.

Speaking of dominance, Donald has had plenty of memorable moments where he completely dominated games that left the fans of opposing teams frustrated, confused, and just in shock at how incredible a player Donald truly is.

So, let's take a look at Donald's top three plays ahead of his return to play for the Rams in the 2026 season.

1. Super Bowl Pressure on Joe Burrow

One of the most impressive plays Donald had in his career was his pressure against Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow to help the Rams win Super Bowl 56 at home in SoFi Stadium.

Throughout this game, Donald was consistently putting heavy pressure on Burrow and actually sacked him twice in the game, and was able to make one of the biggest plays of the night to win this game for Los Angeles.

With the Super Bowl victory, Donald became a Super Bowl champion and added to one of the best resumes of all time, which could help him to make a case as the best defensive player to ever play in the NFL.

2. 20th Sack in 2018

The second play on this list is Donald's final sack of the 2018 season, to give him 20.5 on the year, which got him very close to Michael Strahan's record of 22.5 sacks.

This final sack for Donald was very impressive on its own, but it is even more impressive when considering the fact that he played most of the season on the interior of the defensive line and was double-teamed significantly more than most edge rushers are.

With the 20.5 sack performance from Donald, he took home defensive player of the year and through consistent and dominant performances on the defensive side of the ball, he was able to lead the Rams to Super Bowl 53, which was the first appearance of the Sean McVay era.

3. NFC Championship Pressure on Jimmy Garoppolo

The final play on this list is when Donald created heavy pressure on San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo in the NFC Championship game, which forced an interception and helped the Rams to advance to Super Bowl 56, where he also stepped up when Los Angeles needed him most.

While the rest of the plays on this list were important, the argument could be made that this play was the most impactful, as it not only got the Rams to the Super Bowl, but it also gave Los Angeles the opportunity to end the 49ers' season and make the claim as the best team in the NFC when it mattered the most.

Overall, the playoff run for Donald during the 2021 season was pure dominance and was a major boost to his legacy which could become even more impressive with his return for the 2026
