ESPN has shared their projections for Baltimore Ravens superstar running back Derrick Henry.
Over the last couple of years, the questions about whether or not Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry will regress have been swirling. So far, no regression has been seen.
Henry is now 32 years old. He has played in the NFL for 10 years and has amassed 2,662 career carries. In an NFL world where running back careers continue getting shorter, Henry has bucked that trend.
Last season with the Ravens, the longtime superstar played in all 17 regular season games. He dominated once again, carrying the football 307 times for 1,595 yards and 16 touchdowns while averaging an impressive 5.2 yards per attempt. Henry also caught 15 passes for 150 yards.
Entering the upcoming 2026 season, Baltimore is going to need Henry to remain playing at an elite level to be a true Super Bowl contender.
Keeping that in mind, ESPN's Mike Clay has released his projections for Henry this season.
According to Clay's projections, Henry is expected to rack up 1,480 yards and 13 touchdowns on 317 carries. He is also projected to catch 21 passes for 210 yards and another score.
Granted, those numbers would not equal his production from the 2025 season. However, it would still place him among the league's best running backs.
On the flip side, Bleacher Report analyst Gary Davenport has predicted that Henry will end up winning the 2026 NFL rushing title. He is expecting Henry to go over 2,000 yards.
"Henry hasn't matched his 2,000‑yard dominance from 2020 in Tennessee, but that will change in 2026," Davenport wrote. "Father Time is about to get stiff-armed."
At the end of the day, the Ravens are going to look different in 2026. John Harbaugh is gone and is now the head coach of the New York Giants. Jesse Minter has taken over in Baltimore with a brand new coaching staff around him.
Everyone on the Ravens will be facing a make-or-break season. After ownership decided to make a coaching change this offseason, another disappointing season could force roster changes next offseason.
Hopefully, Henry is able to keep regression at bay and produce another dominant season. It sure sounds like that is exactly what is expected from him.
