Former Ravens WR Willie IV calls for team to hire sought-after offensive coordinator cover image

With Jesse Minter now the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens, former wide receiver Willie Snead IV calls on the team to bring in a very sought-after offensive coordinator.

After an exhaustive search of 20 candidates, the Baltimore Ravens officially hired former Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter as the team's new head coach.

Now, Minter's most pressing responsibility is to put together his coaching staff, especially with landing the perfect offensive coordinator. One name that could be perfect, especially for former Ravens wide receiver Willie Snead IV, is Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady.

Brady has steadily been interviewing for head coaching positions, and there is a good chance he could land with one of the remaining teams needing a head coach. Then again, if he is not hired during this head coaching cycle, he will become one of the most sought-after offensive coordinators.

That said, Snead envisions the Ravens potentially swinging big and landing Brady.

Snead was on the "Locked on Ravens" podcast, where he spoke about the hiring of Minter and Baltimore landing Brady as offensive coordinator.

"I'm super happy for Jesse. He was my guy all the way when I heard they let go of Harbs. Somebody that just did it the right way for 18 years ... When you look for a replacement, you want someone who knows the culture, and I think Jesse was there, especially during my time, and he embodied what it meant to be a Raven," Snead said.

Snead then spoke about the offensive coordinators that Minter should target, and though Klint Kubiak was a name he suggested, he also stated the Ravens should try to "steal" Brady away to work with Lamar Jackson.

"I really think the best option, in my opinion, is Joe. Joe has worked with an MVP in Josh Allen. I think Joe is able to take Lamar's game to a whole other level. If I were in the building in Baltimore, I would do everything I can to get Joe. Joe has proven that he can work with drop-back quarterbacks; he's worked with dual threat quarterbacks ... he runs a scheme that favors quarterbacks that are athletic," Snead said.

Brady has the right kind of resume in terms of the quarterbacks he has worked with to truly aid Jackson in elevating his game to the next level. Granted, this would be reliant on him not landing a head coach job.

Also, it would depend on Minter being able to lure Brady to Baltimore. Considering the pedigree of coaching Allen, and then being able to do so with Jackson, it should be an enticing place for the former Bills offensive coordinator.

If Brady is available, expect most teams to call about Brady, which would also give the Ravens some stiff competition. Then again, most other teams do not have Jackson under center.
