Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Devontez Walker could miss Week 1.

The Baltimore Ravens are set to take on the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1, but they may have to do so without one of their key players.

Wide receiver Devontez Walker is dealing with a "minor" injury, but head coach Jesse Minter did cast a bit of doubt on his ability to be ready to play against the Colts.

Walker has been pegged as a player who can make a leap in Year 3. However, this injury could lead to him falling down the depth chart.

Wide receivers Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman are WR1 and WR2, and there is a strong chance that rookie receiver Ja'Kobi Lane may be the WR3. Walker could also be in that role, however, that all depends on whether or not he can suit up on Sunday.

"That'll be close. We'll have the injury report out tomorrow," Minter said of Walker. "He's dealing with something minor. I think it can go either way. I do think we'll get him back before the end of the week. And we'll see how it goes for Sunday."

Walker skipped out on practice on Tuesday due to whatever injury it is he is dealing with. As Minter said, the Ravens' first injury report of the week will come out on Wednesday, which will reveal the injury that the receiver is dealing with.

If Walker is doubtful throughout the week or leading up to the final injury report on Friday, he may not be able to play in Week 1. He could also be upgraded to questionable and be able to suit up.

Even if Walker is not able to take the field, Baltimore has plenty to work with on offense and in the pass catching room. As mentioned, Flowers, Bateman, Lane, and fellow rookie Elijah Sarratt are ready to go.

That is also not to mention tight ends Mark Andrews, Josh Cuevas, and Matt Hibner.

Having injured players is never good, but the Ravens only potentially losing Walker for the game is also a good place to be.

All injuries, no matter how small or not have to be reported, so there may be multiple players on the list on Wednesday that are in no danger of missing the shodown against the Colts.

Walker could be an entirely different story, as Minter indicated that he will be back to practice by the end of the week, but his status for Week 1 "could go either way."

There are also injuries to defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike and linebacker Teddye Buchanan to make note. Minter did state that both should not be counted out for the first game of the season.

Considering this is the first game of the Minter era, a win for Baltimore could set the tone for the entire season.

The Ravens will face the Colts on Sept. 13, with the game kicking off at 1 PM EST.
