The Baltimore Ravens have reached an agreement with wide receiver Zay Flowers, who has received a four-year, $140 million deal.
The Baltimore Ravens made good on extending Zay Flowers. The organization announced that the pair have reached an agreement on a four-year, $140 million extension. This also includes $108 million in guaranteed money.
With the new deal in place, Flowers will be signed through the 2029 season. Additionally, at $35 million per season, the Ravens receiver is now paid in the top five at his position.
Flowers has been an ascendent player since he arrived with the Ravens during the 2023 NFL Draft. After being selected No. 22 overall, the receiver secured a rookie season of 858 yards and five touchdowns through the air, along with 56 yards and one touchdown on the ground.
Flowers followed that up with 1,059 yards and four touchdowns in 2024, and a career-high 1,211 yards and five touchdowns in 2025. Even in a down year for the Ravens, the receiver found a way to be highly productive.
There have been plenty of conversations about a new deal for Flowers, and general manager Eric DeCosta spoke about the desire and need to get a deal done before the 2026 season started. That is now the case.
Baltimore has not been shy about awarding its players new deals, and their commitment to keeping talent in-house is well-known. Securing Flowers to a new deal is a huge step in the right direction for the future of the organization.
This does lead to the question of whether or not the Ravens are also close to hammering out a new deal for quarterback Lamar Jackson.
Jackson has been tight-lipped about the conversations he has had with the Baltimore brass, but he is a huge item to check off in terms of DeCosta's next contract goals. There may be a deal in the future for the pair.
Jackson has openly spoken about the importance of Flowers for himself and the Ravens' offense, and has come to the receiver's defense during media sessions. Despite some viewing Flowers as not a traditional WR1, Jackson has shut those opinions down plenty.
With Flowers now being paid as a top five receiver, the discourse about his not being viewed as a true WR1 has also been shut down by the Ravens organization.
Head coach Jesse Minter also began his media availability by shouting out Flowers. He said it is a "great day" for the team and the receiver.
Flowers is expected to be an integral part of the offense in 2026 and beyond that, especially now that he is signed for the forseeable future.
