The Baltimore Ravens have been linked as a potential landing spot for a Chargers linebacker.

The Baltimore Ravens are entering a new era of football in 2026 under new head coach Jesse Minter.

Gone are the days of longtime head coach John Harbaugh leading the charge. Minter was brought in as his replacement and will look to take the Ravens over the hump.

With that being said, there are a lot of questions surrounding Baltimore right now. Most notably, the future of superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson has come into question. The two sides could be headed for a divorce at some point down the road.

Despite that possibility, the Ravens will enter the 2026 NFL season as a potential Super Bowl contender in the AFC once again. On paper, they have the talent to compete for a ring.

Eric DeCosta and the Baltimore front office were aggressive this offseason. Trey Hendrickson was the headline move after backing out of the Maxx Crosby trade with the Las Vegas Raiders. However, there is no doubt that the Ravens are still open for business if an opportunity to improve comes up.

Thomas Martinez of Sports Illustrated has come up with one possible option for Baltimore to add valuable depth and talent. He believes that Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Junior Colson could be a potential fit for the Ravens.

"The Ravens have the single most expensive linebacker room in the NFL. Behind Roquan Smith and Trenton Simpson, the linebacker room is filled with young linebackers whom Colson could potentially challenge for a role in Jesse Minter's defense," Martinez wrote.

"Colson has played under Minter since his Sophomore year at Michigan and would easily step in knowing the defense."

Colson is coming off of a 2025 NFL season with the Chargers that saw him play in 11 games. He recorded 29 total tackles to go along with a defended pass during his rookie season.

Originally drafted by Los Angeles with the No. 69 overall pick in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, Colson being moved would be a bit of a surprise. But, if he's made available, a reunion with Minter would make a lot of sense.
