The Baltimore Ravens are heading into a new era of football, which will include only the fourth head coach in franchise history.
With a new head coach to be hired, the rest of the coaching staff is likely to find jobs elsewhere. For offensive coordinator Todd Monken, he may land with a divisional rival.
Monken has once again received head coach opportunities, despite reports that he may follow John Harbaugh to New York. One of the head coach opportunities is for the vacant job with the Cleveland Browns.
Per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Browns are bringing Monken back for an in-person interview on Tuesday.
Monken joins the Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter and Los Angeles Rams pass game coordinator Nathan Scheelhaase as the newest to land in-person interviews.
It is believed that the in-person candidates and second interview candidates are those who will be whittled down to finalists for jobs. The Browns consider Monken to be one of those candidates.
If the reports are true, Monken has a job waiting with the New York Giants, but that has not been corroborated. It would also make sense for the Ravens offensive coordinator to pass over that job with Harbaugh if he was given his own team to run.
Monken has over 35 years of coaching experience, but has never been a head coach. However, he is a very well-respected coach, and his time could be coming soon.
If the Browns were to hire Monken as the new head coach, he would face his former team twice a year for as long as he has the job in Cleveland.
Monken not getting the Browns job but joining Harbaugh would mean that both would not get their "revenge game" until around the 2028 season, when the Ravens take on the Giants next.
Either way, it is all but confirmed that the Ravens will not retain Monken. This leaves defensive coordinator Zach Orr, who is getting attention from the Dallas Cowboys.
It would not be shocking if the majority of the coaching staff and assistants join Harbaugh in New York, as the new Ravens head coach will likely want to rebuild the staff that they are seeking to take this team into a new era.
