The Ravens quarterback room goes down from five to four. The remaining quarterbacks are Lamar Jackson, Tyler Huntley, Skylar Thompson, and undrafted rookie free agent Joe Fagnano.
It is likely the Ravens won’t enter the season with four quarterbacks, so another cut in this room is likely on the horizon.
It was reported that the Ravens signed Pocic last week, but they made the signing official on Thursday. Baltimore signed the veteran center to a one-year, $3 million deal with $1.5 million available in incentives.
As for Pavia, he was with the Ravens organziation for most of the offseason.
The Ravens signed the 24-year-old as an undrafted rookie in April after he became the first Heisman Trophy finalist to go undrafted in 12 years.
Heading into camp, the expectation was that Pavia was going to compete for the QB3 role. Baltimore had some familiarity with Pavia due to the fact that head coach Jesse Minter has a close relationship with Vanderbilt head coach Clark Lea.
Lea coached Pavia for the past two seasons and guided the Commodores to their best season yet in 2025.
Pavia led Vanderbilt to their first 10-win season in school history and set single-season records for wins, passing yards, and passing touchdowns. In the 2025 season, Pavia ranked second in total yards per game and finished the season tied for third in total touchdowns.
In his college career, Pavia recorded 119 total touchdowns and 88 passing touchdowns.
While Pavia dominated the college game, many questioned his abilities in the NFL due to his size, standing only at 5-foot-10, and his age coming into the league.
Pavia also had a string of off-field issues that led to his likely going undrafted. While he put his best foot forward with the Ravens during the offseason, he will now be in search of a new home.
It's unclear what the future holds for Pavia, with training camps across the NFL set to begin next week.
