During a training camp interview with Kay Adams of the Up & Adams show, Henry said Baltimore is the last place he wants to be when he decides to retire. However, Adams characterized Henry's comments as wanting to retire as a member of the Ravens, not that he was considering retirement anytime soon.
"I would like to finish my playing career with Ravens,” Henry clarifed on X.
"I never said anything about retiring lol, I’m enjoying being a Raven. I’ll worry about that retirement sh* later," Henry said.
Henry wanted to make it clear that he would love to finish his playing career as a Raven, but that does not mean retirement is on the horizon anytime soon.
Henry is set to enter his third season in Baltimore (11th overall) and his age-32 season.
Henry may be approaching the near-end of his career, but he continues to play like he has not been in the league for over a decade.
Henry has played in all 34 games possible in his first two seasons as a Raven. In that time, the veteran running back has racked up 632 rushing attempts for 3,516 yards, 32 touchdowns and averaged 5.6 yards per carry.
The All-Pro running back remains committed to Baltimore and has no desire to play for another team other than the Ravens. As things stand, Henry is under a two-year, $30 million contract.
Henry signed an extension with the Ravens in May 2025. The deal keeps him under contract through 2027 with $24 million to $25 million in guaranteed money and an average annual salary of $15 million.
Initially, Henry signed a two-year, $16 million deal worth up to $20 million in the 2024 offseason, which included $9 million fully guaranteed in the first year. However, after significantly outperforming that contract, the Ravens wasted no time in offering him the extension.
Before joining the Ravens, Henry spent the first eight seasons of his career with the Tennessee Titans. During his time with the Titans, he climbed to second on the franchise's all-time rushing list behind Eddie George and became the team's all-time leader in touchdowns.
As for the Ravens' record books, Henry enters the season ranked fourth in franchise history in rushing yards, with teammate Lamar Jackson currently sitting in second place.
It’s unclear how long Henry wants to keep playing for, but if health is on his side, he could hold a ton of Ravens rushing records once all is said and done.
