The first injury report for the Baltimore Ravens contains multiple concerns.

The Baltimore Ravens went into Week 15 with a mostly clean injury report. Even Tavius Robinson and Ar'Darius Washington were able to be activated off IR. However, the first injury report for Week 16 contains multiple concerns.

One of the biggest aspects of the first injury report is that Lamar Jackson took a day off, as is the usual case since Week 11. Jackson has been taking one day off from practice to rest, but his absence this week is a bit more concerning.

Another major concern is that the players who were injured in Week 15 also did not practice on Wednesday.

Per the first injury report, cornerback Chidobe Awuzie, offensive lineman Ronnie Stanley, and Teddye Buchanan did not practice. Buchanan not practicing is obvious due to being out for the season with a torn ACL.

Awuzie's foot injury was a bit concerning, and Ravens head coach John Harbaugh did state the team would see how the week played. The same can be said for Stanley, though his DNP (Did Not Participate) status is not a vote of confidence.

To round out the players that have been added to the injury report, linebacker Roquan Smith is dealing with a knee injury, and Kyle Van Noy has a quad injury, which led to his missed practice.

Missing practice at the beginning of the week is not an indication that any of the players on the injury report will be ruled out. However, having multiple DNP statuses is something to be concerned about.

Stanley and Awuzie's injuries were known, and their status on the initial injury report might point to potentially missing Sunday's game.

Baltimore is taking on the New England Patriots, and the above names will be tough to deal with if they miss the game.

On the brighter side of things, the Ravens also reported that Rashod Bateman returned to practice, as did rookie linebacker Jay Higgins IV. Higgins has been out on IR due to a knee injury he suffered in Week 10.

Higgins has been a solid special teams contributor, putting together six tackles and one forced fumble in special teams plays.

Jackson's illness was also described as a "flu," and he was told to keep away from the team. The hope for the Ravens will be that his illness does not require him to miss more than one practice.

Either way, this initial injury report shows a very banged up team.
