Baltimore Ravens rookie guard Vega Ioane has exited the Cincinnati Bengals matchup with a knee injury and is now questionable.

UPDATE:

Vega Ioane is ruled out with a knee injury.

The Baltimore Ravens have been hit with a significant injury right after the first quarter. Rookie guard Vega Ioane is now questionable to return with a knee injury.

Ioane had just returned to the right guard position with Cam Jurgens being healthy and taking over. Now, the rookie has been replaced by Emery Jones Jr.

Baltimore is already dealing with offensive line issues and changes plenty, and now Jones being in puts the team in a dangerous position.

Backup guard Andrew Vorhees was made inactive, despite practicing in full on Friday and not having an injury designation. He had been dealing with a foot injury and is out.

With Vorhees out, the Ravens have Jones as the primary backup guard, and he is now in the game. Ioane being out will not complicate things if there is another injury.

The Ravens' line has gone through plenty of trouble in 2026. Both Jovaughn Gwyn and Ethan Pocic went down with long-term injuries, leading to Ioane stepping in as the team's starting center.

Baltimore then pulled off a big trade to bring Jurgens over from the Philadelphia Eagles. The center had been playing left guard for the Eagles and was in concussion protocol when he was traded.

Jurgens needed time to pass the concussion protocols, which he did ahead of Week 7.

The Ravens were expecting to have a solid line against the Bengals, but that is now the case. Ioane could theoretically return to the game, as he has not yet been ruled out.

When a player is injured, they go through testing and stretching to see if they can make it back to the field. That is not always the case, and the Ravens may have no choice but to rule the rookie guard out.

At the time of this writing, the Ravens are well ahead with a score of 10-0. The line must now hold with Jones and protect quarterback Tyler Huntley.

Thus far, Huntley has only taken one sack, but he has been under duress from the Bengals pass rush.

Jones has had to step in with Vorhees being out with a foot injury, so it is not as if he has been going into these games cold without working with the first team over the past two games.

Baltimore may need to explore adding more depth ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline, as they continue to have issues with the players remaining healthy.
