Ravens get good news on Kyle Hamilton and Ronnie Stanley minutes before kickoff cover image

The Baltimore Ravens have made the final decision on Kyle Hamilton and Ronnie Stanley minutes before kickoff.

The Baltimore Ravens were hit hard in the secondary, as Chidobe Awuzie suffered a foot injury that led to him being pulled from the Cincinnati Bengals win. Awuzie did not practice all week, leading to his being labeled as doubtful for the New England Patriots showdown.

Injury news became even more concerning, as safety Kyle Hamilton was shown limping at practice, and he was added to the injury report on Friday. Ronnie Stanley was also hurt in the Bengals game, and his status was questionable for Sunday.

Stanley has been dealing with knee and ankle injuries, and Ravens head coach John Harbaugh indicated that he was "bruised" like everyone else is at the end of a long 17-game season.

Hamilton's addition was far more concerning because it was random, and his questionable status became known at the last minute.

Per a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport, both will be active for the Patriots game.

Hamilton was set to work out during pregame activities to give his ankle a test, and it appears that the ankle has worked out. Stanley being active is not that shocking, as it was widely believed that he would have no issues suiting up.

The Ravens need to win out to ensure they make the playoffs and win the division. That might also be even more evident if the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Detroit Lions, which at the time of this writing, they are very close to doing.

Baltimore needs all hands on deck against a very strong Patriots team. Drake Maye remains in the MVP conversation, and Stefon Diggs continues to make incredible catches.

New England also has a strong run game with TreVyon Henderson starting to come alive in 2025.

The Patriots can make life for the Ravens very tough, especially if there is no pressure on the quarterback. Baltimore needs the secondary to be as strong as possible to allow the pass rush to do its job.

Rattling Maye will be of the utmost importance in this game. The same as Lamar Jackson and company striking early and often.

The Ravens cannot afford to start slow as they have in recent weeks. If they lose drives without points on the board, beating the Patriots will be very tough to accomplish.

Having both Hamilton and Stanley back for the game ceratinly helps both sides of the ball in a big way.
