Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh spoke to the media, offering huge injury updates on Ronnie Stanley and Chidobe Awuzie.
The Baltimore Ravens picked up a huge season-saving win on Sunday, shutting down the Cincinnati Bengals with a final score of 24-0.
Despite the big win, the Ravens suffered injuries to key starters, which will loom large for their Week 16 matchup against the New England Patriots. Those players are offensive lineman Ronnie Stanley, and cornerback Chidobe Awuzie.
Stanley has been one of the most durable linemen in the league in 2025, but he suffered what appeared to be an ankle injury against the Bengals, leading to him limping off the field.
Stanley would not make it back into the game.
Awuzie suffered a far more concerning injury to his foot in the third quarter following a joint play with Roquan Smith. Following the play, Awuzie would exit the game and not return.
Initially, Awuzie was labeled as questionable with the injury, but was shortly ruled out after the initial injury status.
Now, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh offered updates on both, placing a far more optimistic outlook on Stanley.
"He's sore, he got sore like a lot of guys. Three weeks left, different little things. He is another guy we will look at through the course of the week," Harbaugh said of Stanley.
"We'll know more as the week goes on. It's not a Lisfranc, or anything like that. Did you see the play? Maybe you'll see it on TV. He was covering that seam route from Gesicki, and he did a great job. Then, as he finished up, he got his foot caught in the netting underneath the field goal. Got caught up in that, and grabbed his foot a little bit," Harbaugh said of the play that led to the Awuzie injury.
It does sound like there is far more optimism on Stanley being available to play in Week 16, as opposed to Awuzie. However, that is just from initial updates and reactions.
Harbaugh indicated that both players will be evaluated as the week goes on.
With a huge matchup coming against the Patriots, the Ravens would be better with both starters in the lineup. Baltimore is currently playing for their lives, and losing quality players like Stanley and Awuzie would be tough to deal with.
In other injury news, Harbaugh also confirmed that rookie linebacker Teddye Buchanan did suffer a torn ACL, which will end his season. The hope for the Ravens is he heals quickly to return early in the 2026 season, but those types of injuries often take at least a year to recover from.
