The Baltimore Ravens have signed center Jovaughn Gwyn following the loss of Tyler Linderbaum to bolster the offensive line.

The Baltimore Ravens have found their potential Tyler Linderbaum replacement.

The team has signed former Atlanta Falcons guard/center Jovaughn Gwyn to a one-year deal.

Gwyn now joins the Ravens and could be slotted to be the man under Lamar Jackson for at least the 2026 season.

The 26-year-old joins the Ravens after spending the first three years of his career with the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons selected Gwyn in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft with the 225th overall pick.

Gwyn primarily played on special teams in his time in Atlanta. The former South Carolina Gamecock only played in 11 offensive snaps last season, but has a chance to play in a larger and more pivotal role in Baltimore. Gwyn comes into the Ravens organization as the team is searching for more help on the offensive line.

The Ravens lost Linderbaum to the Las Vegas Raiders this free agency cycle, as the Raiders made Linderbaum the highest-paid center in the league when they agreed to terms on Monday.

It was a tough loss for the Ravens, who believed they would be the team to make Linderbaum the highest-paid center in the league. Instead, the Raiders had other plans. Linderbaum signed a three-year deal with Las Vegas worth a record $81 million.

The $27 million average annual salary shattered the previous record for a center.

Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta spoke on losing Linderbaum and mentioned it wasn't due to the lack of trying.

"I was never going to get that house because the other people had more money to spend," DeCosta said. "That's kind of how I felt."

"I think it's just that you spend a lot of time saying, 'This is what this player is. This is who he is. This is how he plays. This is what he's worth.' And we try not to deviate from that," DeCosta said. "Would it have allowed us to spend more money on players? Maybe, but would we have done it? Probably not."

According to PFF, Gwyn had an overall grade of 81.2 with a pass block grade of 79 and a run block grade of 77.6. In this time in the league, Gwyn has only played in 19 games. He stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs 297 pounds.

Prior to his time in the NFL, Gwyn spent five seasons playing for the Gamecocks and earned second-team All-SEC in his final season.

The Ravens could look for Gwyn to be a difference maker on the offensive line.
