The Baltimore Ravens have landed a major new prediction when it comes to Lamar Jackson's future.
As the 2026 NFL season continues to draw closer, the Baltimore Ravens are hoping to get back on track.
Last year, the Ravens entered the year as a top-tier Super Bowl contender. By the end of the season, they missed the playoffs and decided to move on from head coach John Harbaugh.
Entering a new era of football in 2026, Baltimore has been facing a new, potentially concerning situation. Of course, that situation has to do with star quarterback Lamar Jackson. He will need a new contract soon, but there has been speculation that he could choose to play elsewhere.
Despite all of the rumors and outside noise, a new prediction has been made about Jackson's future.
Bleacher Report's Alex Kay has predicted that the Ravens will get a new deal done with Jackson. He also believes that the deal will be worth $266 million over the course of four years.
"Given Jackson's contributions, impact, age and the rapidly rising salary cap, it's likely his next contract will reset the market for star quarterbacks," Kay wrote. "Expect the two sides to hammer out a deal in the $65 million to $70 million per year range."
Things have gotten tense between Jackson and the Ravens in the past. Baltimore has found ways to work those issues out. The widespread expectation is that the two sides will be able to do so again.
Jackson has also been patient in striking a new deal, as he is likely awaiting to see how the Ravens perform in 2026 with a new coaching staff in place.
Jackson is coming off a down season in 2025. He dealt with some injury issues throughout the year and played in just 13 games. In those appearances, Jackson completed 63.6 percent of his passes for 2,549 yards, 21 touchdowns, and seven interceptions, while also running for 349 yards and two touchdowns.
Those numbers were way down from his MVP production in 2024. Jackson threw for 4,172 yards, 41 touchdowns, and four interceptions. He also completed 66.7 percent of his passes and ran for 915 yards and four more scores in 17 games.
Hopefully, the 29-year-old superstar quarterback will be able to get back on track in 2026. When healthy, he's one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. That is what the Ravens need from him this season.
Expect to continue hearing speculation about Jackson's future in Baltimore. For now, it still seems likely that the two parties will work out another extension.
