The Baltimore Ravens not only got their first-round picks back from the Maxx Crosby fallout, but they are now signing top pass rusher Trey Hendrickson.

The Baltimore Ravens have had a whirlwind last 24 hours.

It was announced that the team had backed out of the trade with the Las Vegas Raiders due to a what was being reported as a failed physical for Crosby. Following the fallout, the team has pivoted in a big way by setting up a deal with Trey Hendrickson.

Hendrickson, like Crosby, has been disgruntled with the Cincinnati Bengals due to not receiving a new deal. Following his one-year contract in 2025, the split was inevitable.

Now, he has joined an AFC North rival, the Ravens, for a massive contract.

Per reports, Hendrickson will join the Ravens on a four-year, $112 million deal, placing his annual amount at $28 million per season.

Hendrickson has been one of the biggest game-wrecking pass rushers in the league, securing a Pro Bowl nod from 2021 to 2024. In 2023 and 2024, he brought in 17.5 sacks each of those seasons, leading to an All-Pro nod in 2024 and a Defensive Player of the Year nomination, where he placed second.

Despite only playing in seven games, Hendrickson had a sixth-ranked pass rush grade of 90 on PFF. He was also fifth in the 2024 season with 90.4.

Hendrickson has 81 sacks through nine seasons, all as a member of the Bengals.

What makes the signing a bit odd is that Hendrickson also had his own injury in 2025 that required surgery. He suffered a hip and pelvis injury that led to core muscle surgery.

Hendrickson is expected to be ready to start the season, and it could have been the long-term aspect of the surgery and injury that was better for the Ravens to accept. Crosby's knee was apparently more significant than believed, and Baltimore did not want to accept the potential that his knee would not hold up.

Either way, the Ravens now have one of the best pass rushers in the league, after experiencing a fallout with Crosby.

The Ravens and general manager Eric DeCosta made good on bringing in an elite pass rusher, and the team now have their first-round picks back. Considering their free agent losses already, this has turned into an advantageous situation for Baltimore.

They can now use those first-round picks to help alleviate the losses and to upgrade the offensive line, wide receiver, tight end, and other positions.
