The Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers will face one another in a winner-takes-all AFC North showdown that will produce the final playoff team.
Considering the weight of the matchup, injured players potentially missing the game will loom large for both teams. For the Ravens, their latest injury report contains some concerning names.
The good news is Lamar Jackson has had two full practices since hurting his back in Week 16.
The bad news is wide receiver Rashod Bateman has missed two practices due to an illness. If Bateman missed Friday's practice due to this illness, there is a strong chance he could miss the game.
Additionally, Roquan Smith has been limited on Wednesday and Thursday due to a hamstring injury. He has not missed practice, which is a great sign, but being limited for two days is concerning.
Finally, an additional concerning aspect of the injury report is Kyle Van Noy is dealing with a quad injury, that has led to him missing consecutive practices as well.
All three players have not yet been ruled out by Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, but missing multiple practices is never a good sign. However, it is believed that everyone will push to be available for this must-win regular season finale.
On the more positive side of the injury report, tight end Charlie Kolar was upgraded from limited to full, after dealing with a nose injury. Ronnie Stanley is dealing with a knee injury, but was also upgraded from limited to full on Thursday.
The same happened for Andrew Vorhees, as he is dealing with a foot injury, but was upgraded to full on Thursday.
The Ravens are heading into the matchup with a concerning amount of starters missing practices, but none have yet been ruled out. It would be tough to lose both Smith and Van Noy, as they are leaders and cornerstones on this defense.
Stopping Rodgers will be paramount to the Ravens' success, and Smith and Van Noy would be used to stop the run while rattling the cage of Rodgers to force turnovers.
There is one more practice to get through before final injury statuses are revealed. If Van Noy misses a third practice, he may not be healthy enough to play in the Steelers matchup.
The same can be said for Bateman.
