Ravens' Latest Lamar Jackson Report Comes With Major Optimism

The Baltimore Ravens have received more good news about Lamar Jackson ahead of this week's Buffalo showdown.

The Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills are set to square off in what could be the best game of Week 8 NFL action. Both teams are loaded with talent and entered the 2026 season as expected Super Bowl contenders.

Over the last few weeks, the Ravens have been forced to play without superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson. He has been dealing with an ankle injury.

While the team has missed Jackson greatly, they are set to welcome him back to the field this week for a matchup against Josh Allen.

A new update has come out about Jackson's status that comes with a lot of optimism for Baltimore.

During an appearance on "Good Morning Football," NFL insider Ian Rapoport shared an update on Jackson. Rapoport noted that not only did Jackson practice on Wednesday, he was a full participant.

Basically, Rapoport is sharing that Jackson looks completely good to go for this week's clash against the Bills.

Taking on Buffalo is never an easy task. The Bills are currently 5-1 entering this week's game. For the Ravens to take them down, they are going to need all hands on deck.

In Jackson's absence, Tyler Huntley has done a nice job. He has completed 69.8 percent of his pass attempts for 727 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception, while also running for 76 yards and another score. Those numbers are solid, but they don't replace Jackson.

Jackson has played in just four games this season. He has thrown for 967 yards, six touchdowns, and an interception, while completing 70.8 percent of his passes. In addition, the 29-year-old superstar has picked up 144 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Having Jackson back on the field will force the Bills' defense to remain much more wary of the Baltimore passing game. That should help open up the ground game for star running back Derrick Henry.

Only time will tell whether or not Jackson can return and pick up where he left off earlier this season. The Ravens are going to need a high-powered offensive performance to defeat Buffalo. Thankfully, they're getting healthier at the right time.

Expect to see Jackson back on the field this week barring any kind of last-second setback. Fans in Baltimore will begin feeling much more optimistic with the star franchise quarterback playing.

Kickoff is scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on CBS this week.
