Ravens officially rule out Lamar Jackson, plus full inactives cover image

The Baltimore Ravens have officially ruled out Lamar Jackson, plus a look at the additional inactives.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is officially inactive.

It is not shocking that Jackson was ruled out, as his back contusion injury kept him out of practice leading up to the showdown with the Green Bay Packers. He was labeled as doubtful for the game, but it appears the back was not in the right shape to allow him to suit up.

Tyler Huntely will assume the starting role with Jackson out.

Additionally, the Ravens have also ruled out wide receiver Tylan Wallace, cornerback Keyon Martin, tackle Joseph Noteboom, and defensive tackle Aeneas Peebles.

The injury report also offers good news for multiple players who appeared on the report throughout the week.

Safety Kyle Hamilton has been dealing with an ankle injury, but he was upgraded to a full participant throughout the week. Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was also given a rest day on Thursday, but that was the only day he missed.

Running back Keaton Mitchell was limited on Wednesday due to a calf injury, but he was upgraded to a full participant and comes into the game with no injury status.

Ravens playoff situation

The Ravens' showdown with the Packers has a ton of playoff implications. Baltimore must win to keep in the playoff race, but they need a lot of help.

Should the Ravens beat the Packers, they will need a lot of help from their divisional rivals. The Cleveland Browns are set to play the Pittsburgh Steelers, and should they get the upset win, the Steelers will need to win their Week 18 game against the Ravens to secure the division.

Crazier things have happened, and the Ravens have the weapons to put away the Packers. They are also facing a backup quarterback in Malik Willis.

Jordan Love did not clear concussion protocol, so the Ravens will be up against the very mobile Willis. Much like Huntley, Willis understands the Packers' offense very well.

Baltimore needs to get to Willis and rattle him early on to force some mistakes. Cornerback Marlon Humphrey has come alive with turnovers, and his landing another interception would be huge.

The pass rush certainly needs to be alive as well, stopping the Packers offense that will have star Christian Watson available.

The Ravens need to beat the Packers, or they will end their regular season by missing the playoffs for the first time since 2021.
