The Baltimore Ravens have reportedly lost director of football strategy Daniel Stern to the Seattle Seahawks.

The Baltimore Ravens announced their coaching staff on Tuesday, and it appears there was one name left off the list: director of football strategy and assistant quarterbacks coach Daniel Stern.

That could be due to Stern landing a new gig, as has been reported.

Per NFL insider Adam Schefter, Stern has landed a job on the Seattle Seahawks.

"Sources: Ravens director of football strategy/assistant quarterbacks coach Daniel Stern is leaving Baltimore to accept a job with the Seattle Seahawks, possibly as their pass-game strategist. But he is off to Seattle," Schefter wrote on X.

Stern has spent the past 10 seasons with the Ravens, previously assisting Tee Martin in the quarterbacks' room, guiding Lamar Jackson.

Per the official Ravens site, Stern was also a major player in understanding game management.

"Since 2019, Stern has been charged with studying game management, situational football and the NFL playing rules/officiating, advising Harbaugh and the team in these areas," Stern's job description reads.

Schefted did indicate that the role Stern will take with the Seahawks has not yet been divulged, but it could be a pass-game specialist type of position.

The Ravens did hire Marcus Brady as pass game coordinator and Israel Woolfork as quarterbacks coach, so the position that Stern previously had may no longer be available on Jesse Minter's staff.

Coaches often change jobs when a regime change occurs. Minter kept some holdovers from the John Harbaugh regime, but the majority of coaches added come from other teams.

Stern now joins the reigning Super Bowl champions and a coaching staff that already took some hits as well. Following the win, Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak accepted his job with the Las Vegas Raiders as head coach.

Stern is a well-respected game manager, but he may not have been part of the plan for Minter and his staff.

For the Ravens, Minter has been steadily busy building out his coaching staff, which includes Declan Doyle as offensive coordinator and Anthony Weaver as defensive coordinator.

The new era of Ravens football is set to start, with a mostly-new coaching staff that can hopefully bring Baltimore back to contention after missing the playoffs for the first time since 2021.
