With the hiring of Jesse Minter as head coach, the Baltimore Ravens are ready to move forward from the John Harbaugh era and create something new and exciting in the AFC North.
The first step is to hire the coaches around Minter, and given that he has a history as a defensive coordinator, the Ravens will need a great offensive coordinator. Fortunately, it looks like they may have found their guy.
According to a report from NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Ravens organization has requested an interview with Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Declan Doyle. This has also been reported by Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune.
Doyle began his NFL coaching career as an offensive assistant with the New Orleans Saints from 2019-2022. He soon followed that with a tenure as the tight ends coach for the Denver Broncos from 2023 to 2024.
Doyle joined the Bears in 2025 at 28 years old, making him the youngest offensive coordinator in the league.
While this is obviously not a guarantee that he has or will take the position, it seems likely because Doyle was already being considered for a position with the Philadelphia Eagles, but has withdrawn from consideration.
Other coaches who are reportedly up for the offensive coordinator position are Detroit Lions assistant head coach/wide receivers coach Scottie Montgomery, Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady, and former Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury.
After spending some years in the NFL, Montgomery began his coaching career in the NCAA with Duke as the wide receivers coach from 2006-2009 before taking the same position with the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2010-2012.
Afterward, Montgomery returned to Duke from 2013-2015, serving as the associate head coach and offensive coordinator. In 2016, he became the head coach for East Carolina before being terminated in 2018. He then served as the offensive coordinator for Maryland from 2019-2020.
In 2021, Montgomery returned to the NFL as the running backs coach for the Indianapolis Colts. In 2023, he moved to the Lions where he has been an assistant coach ever since.
Brady has been working with the Bills since 2022, first starting as the quarterbacks coach before shifting to the offensive coordinator position in 2023 when Ken Dorsey was fired. He was able to switch the offense to a more run-based scheme that greatly benefited quarterback Josh Allen.
Finally, Kingsbury has a wealth of experience, having been the head coach for the Arizona Cardinals and the offensive coordinator for the Commanders, not to mention all of his years coaching in the NCAA.
Needless to say, the Ravens have plenty of excellent options for the offensive coordinator position.
