The Baltimore Ravens did not waste anytime post draft, as they have agreed to a one-year deal with former defensive end Calais Campbell.

The Baltimore Ravens had a solid draft, but general manager Eric DeCosta indicated that there would be some free agents they would discuss and potentially bring in.

That has happened, as the team has officially brought back former Ravens Pro Bowl defensive end Calais Campbell on a one-year deal.

Campbell was with the Ravens between the 2020 and 2022 seasons, and has been a consummate professional in his career. He brings a ton of leadership and still has the kind of motor that will lead to the defense being elevated on the pass rush front.

Most recently Campbell played for the Arizona Cardinals in 2025, where he brought in 6.5 sacks, 43 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, and 16 quarterback hits.

The Ravens were aiming to bolster their pass rush in a big way, and they did so by signing Trey Hendrickson in the fallout from the Maxx Crosby trade. Baltimore also drafted Zion Young in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Young is set to not only learn from Hendrickson, but can now learn the ins and outs of pass rushing from one of the best to do it in Campbell.

While Campbell was a part of the Ravens, he posted one Pro Bowl season in 2020. During the course of his three season career with Baltimore, he secured 11 sacks, 113 total tackles, 14 tackles for loss, and 36 quarterback hits.

Despite being 39 years old, Campbell has cotinued ot be higly productive, and can now shore up the defense in a major way for the Ravens.

With Campbell back in the building, the Ravens now have Hendrickson, Mike Green, Tavius Robinson, Young, Travis Jones, and more to aid stopping quarterbacks. Should Nnamdi Madubuike return in the beginning of the season, the team will have more than enough on the pass rush side of things.

Campbell will also reunite with Anthony Weaver, who served as the team's defensive line coach from 2021 to 2023. He is now the defensive coordinator working alongside head coach Jesse Minter.

Baltimore needs to figure out their center situation sooner rather than later, but adding Campbell will be a huge addition for the team's leadership.
