The Baltimore Ravens are set to meet with one of the top cornerbacks in the 2026 NFL Draft, LSU's Mansoor Delane.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network shared the news via X.
Delane is set to meet with the Ravens in the final of his three visits. He will also meet the Cincinnati Bengals and the Washington Commanders.
Delane is projected to be a difference maker on the defensive end. According to NFL analyst Lance Zierlein, Delane is one of the top cornerbacks in the draft who excels in press coverage, altering release timing with punches and slides.
He also added that Delane has smooth hips and efficient footwork, keeping him connected in man coverage, while his processing allows for quick transitions in off-man and short zone looks.
The 22-year-old played one season at LSU and the other three at Virginia Tech. In his collegiate career, Delane was named to the third-team All-ACC in 2024 and was named to the First-team All-SEC and a Unanimous All-American in 2025.
According to NFL Draft Buzz, Delane is expected to be a top 10 pick in this month's draft, ranked as the seventh overall prospect and ranked second in his position. The defensive back is expected to be a force to be reckoned with at the next level.
Delane shows advanced instincts in coverage, consistently diagnosing route combinations before they fully develop and positioning himself in throwing lanes. His fluid hips and quick footwork allow him to mirror receivers through their breaks without relying on contact, while his production—eight career interceptions and 27 passes defended—reinforces his playmaking ability.
If the Ravens were to select Delane with their first-round pick, it would be a strong fit for the two sides. Delane is profiled as the exact cornerback that would fit in Baltimore due to his combination of instincts, man-coverage agility, and physicality. His tools at the cornerback psotion is the type of player the Ravens love – by being smart, aggressive, press-capable defenders who can play on an island.
The only concerns for the two sides would be his deep speed, as some evaluators note that his long speed is "good but not elite," which can be exposed at the next level. Another concern is his arm length and size threshold. Delane has a solid build; however, Baltimore sometimes prefers longer, more disruptive outside corners.
The Ravens hold the No. 14 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Baltimore has a ton of needs they must address, and they'll look to do so with one of their 11 picks.
