The Baltimore Ravens have to address the tight end position, and they do so with Kenyon Sadiq in the latest mock draft.
The Baltimore Ravens saw multiple starters leave in free agency, including tight ends Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar. The team made up for Kolar by bringing in Durham Smythe, but a pass catching tight end is still needed.
Longtime veteran Mark Andrews continues to show that he can be productive, but his value rests more in the leadership role as opposed to being a go-to red zone or deep field threat for Lamar Jackson. That said, a new mock draft suggests the Ravens use the No. 14 overall pick for Oregon's Kenyon Sadiq.
Sadiq ran a 4.39-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, setting a record for the tight end position. However, that being his claim to fame does not necessarily mean he is NFL-ready.
Sadiq ended his collegiate career with 892 yards and 11 touchdowns. He has the ability to be worked into many passing assignments, which could be huge for the Ravens, but his low production may be a bit concerning.
Still, ESPN's Matt Miller believes the Oregon product would be the perfect addition to the Baltimore offense.
"Giving Lamar Jackson the fastest tight end to ever test at the combine seems like a good idea, especially with Isaiah Likely departing in free agency and Mark Andrews entering his age-31 season. Besides his 4.39 speed, Sadiq is an elite red zone threat who had eight touchdowns in 2025. His effort and upside in the run game as a blocker make him a true blue-chip tight end prospect for a team that badly needs another threat in the passing game," Miller wrote.
The main issue with pitching the Ravens to take Sadiq is that they ignore their more pressing needs at pick No. 14, which is the offensive line. Baltimore remains without a starting safety and needs help at the guard position.
Not taking Utah's Spencer Fano or Penn State's Vega Ioane if they are available at No. 14 would be a big miss for general manager Eric DeCosta.
That said, DeCosta and the Ravens front office usually take the best player available, and Sadiq would be a huge addition due to his ability to get open in space and act as a lead blocker.
Sadiq could be the best parts of Likely and Kolar, wrapped into one. This fact makes Miller's assessment make a lot more sense.
The truth is, the Ravens have multiple needs, which are the tight end, wide receiver, and inside offensive linemen positions. Any one of those would be a smart move to make with the No. 14 overall pick, but a lineman might be the most advisable decision.
