The Baltimore Ravens remain one of the most desired head coaching spots in the NFL after parting ways with longtime head coach John Harbaugh.
Now, after interviewing 16 candidates, it appears that three coaches have emerged as finalists for the coveted position.
According to various reports, the three finalists at the moment are Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter, Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady, and Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver.
Minter has been the defensive coordinator for the Chargers since Jim Harbaugh took over as head coach in 2024. Since then, he has helped make Los Angeles one of the best defensive teams in the NFL.
Prior to the Chargers, Minter worked with Harbaugh at the University of Michigan, where they won the CFP National Championship in 2023.
In addition to these accolades, Minter has previous history with the Ravens, working with the team from 2017-2020 as the defensive assistant, assistant defensive backs coach, and defensive backs coach.
Brady is considered one of the NFL's top offensive minds. After being the interim offensive coordinator for the Bills in 2023, Brady was officially named offensive coordinator in 2024, where he helped lead quarterback Josh Allen to his first NFL MVP.
Additionally, Brady worked with Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow when he was the passing game coordinator for LSU in 2019. helping the team to the CFP National Championship.
Brady has also had previous NFL experience as the offensive assistant for the New Orleans Saints from 2017-2018 and the offensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers from 2020-2021.
Weaver is currently the defensive coordinator for the Dolphins. While they were ranked in the bottom half of defenses this season, it does not reflect much of the other work Weaver has done with Miami.
In his first season with the Dolphins, Weaver created one of the best defenses in the NFL, only allowing an average of 314.4 yards per game. He could easily bring this expertise to the Ravens and help them become a Top 10 defense once again.
Just like Minter, Weaver has past experience with the Ravens organization. He played as a defensive end for Baltimore from 2002-2005 and was a coach with the team from 2021-2023.
While this is a great group of candidates, there are still five coaches on Baltimore's radar that have yet to be interviewed because they were in the playoffs: Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula, Los Angeles Rams pass game coordinator Nathan Scheelhaase, Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, Denver Broncos quarterback coach Davis Webb, and Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph.
