Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Trey Hendrickson is expected to play despite a severely broken finger.
The Baltimore Ravens are looking to move to 2-0 on the season, but they will have to defeat the New Orleans Saints to do so. While the team has been dealt some tough injuries since Week 1, they have now received good news about outside linebacker Trey Hendrickson.
Hendrickson appeared on the injury report with a finger ailment, and it was revealed that he broke a finger in several places during practice. Despite the injury, he is also expected to play.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport revealed the news on X, stating through sources that Hendrickson will wear a cast on the affected hand, but will still take the field.
This is big news for the Baltimore defense, which performed very well against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1.
Now, the unit will have the benefit of having Hendrickson back on the field. It will just be up to the cast he is wearing and his hand not getting worse throughout the game.
As stated, the Ravens have had some tough injury news of late.

The wide receiver room was hit hard as rookie pass catcher Ja'Kobi Lane suffered a wrist injury that required surgery, which led to him being placed on IR (injured reserve) and will knock him out for the next four games. Additionally, Zay Flowers is dealing with a nagging hamstring injury and is also out against the Saints.
Cornerback T.J. Tampa was also placed on IR due to a knee injury, and head coach Jesse Minter offered some optimism that he would be back at some point this season.
The offensive line is also dealing with key injuries, as left tackle Ronnie Stanley and left guard John Simpson are both dealing with injuries.
Stanley missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday and was limited on Friday due to a toe injury. He is now questionable for the Saints game.
Should Stanley not be able to play, Carson Vinson would step in at the left tackle position.
Simpson also missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday due to a groin injury. His status is also questionable.
Andrew Vorhees would presumably step in to take over for Simpson.
The Ravens also elevated tackle Gerad Lichtenhan for the Saints game to act as depth for the offensive line.
Once the inactives list drops, all of these players' statuses for the game will be revealed, with many presumably being game-time decisions.
