Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers remains near the top in wide receiver rankings despite missing Week 2 due to a hamstring injury.

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers has been a huge element of the offense and a key component in how the team has brought in two wins.

Flowers has remained near the top in wide receiver rankings, despite missing Week 2 due to a nagging hamstring injury. Even in Week 3, he managed to put together an impressive performance and helped to seal the Ravens win.

Flowers exploded onto the scene in Week 1, as his catch-and-run abilities were on full display. The young pass catcher showed off a huge new level of speed as he secured 150 receiving yards and one touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts.

Following the career-high yardage, Flowers was struck with an aggravation of the hamstring injury that he had sustained prior to Week 1. He would miss the second half of the game, and that injury would carry into Week 2.

Flowers missed the first two days of practice and was limited during the third and final injury report released on the Friday before the New Orleans Saints showdown in Week 2.

Without Flowers on the field, the offense struggled mightily.

That was not the case in Week 3, as there was a worry that the Ravens pass catcher would not make it on the field in Brazil due to the conditions of the grass.

Baltimore shocked everyone as Flowers was not ruled out, despite also missing two practices ahead of Week 3.

Flowers then turned his return into another massive performance. He ended the day with 84 yards on five receptions and one run for 20 yards.

The most impressive play was Flowers getting open in busted coverage by the Dallas Cowboys, leading to a 27-yard pickup, a last-second timeout, and a game-winning field goal.

Flowers has 234 yards and one touchdown through two games, which is technically one and a half games.

Per Pro Football Focus, Flowers is also ranked second with a total grade of 92.4 as a pass catcher. He only trails Seattle Seahawks receiver Jaxson Smith-Njigba, who has a 93.1 overall grade.

There is an argument to be made that Flowers could have swayed the score and the game in Week 2 had he been on the field, but he clearly has a major impact when he can play.

Baltimore still needs another receiver to step up in a significant way, especially after the loss of rookie Ja'Kobi Lane.

With Flowers out in Week 2, Rashod Bateman stepped up to the tune of 88 yards and one touchdown, but Bateman only had two receptions for 37 yards in Week 3.

If the Baltimore offense can establish a more balanced attack through the air while utilizing the speed and big play capabilites from Flowers, this offense can continue to evolve.
