Top wide receiver draft prospect spoke highly of the Baltimore Ravens organization and superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson after a recent visit.
The Baltimore Ravens will look for a bounce-back season in 2026. After a disappointing 2025 season that was decimated by injuries and inconsistent play, the team will look to become a juggernaut this fall.
As things stand, the Ravens have a long way to go in that department. They need to fix and tweak a lot of stuff from now until the start of the 2026 season. However, the draft is a great place to start, and one area of need for Baltimore is the wide receiver position.
The Ravens' wide receiver groups since the arrival of Lamar Jackson have been solid at best. They are in dire need of an elite pass catcher, and they have a chance to select one in April in USC All-American and Biletnikoff Award winner Makai Lemon.
Lemon is the top wide receiver in this year's draft class and is projected to be a highly touted pick. He is a hot commodity, and among the teams interested in him is the Ravens.
In a recent press conference, Lemon spoke highly of the Ravens and Jackson. He said it would be a blessing to play alongside Jackson.
"It would be a huge blessing," Lemon said. "I did meet with them, it'd be a huge blessing. Lamar is one of the best quarterbacks; he can do many things when the ball is in their hands. In his offense and around that organization, it would be a blessing. "
ESPN's Mel Kiper also has the Ravens selecting Lemon.
“Lemon is one of my favorite prospects in this class,” Kiper wrote. “He attacks the ball in the air, and you can see his competitiveness in the way he plays the game. Like Zay Flowers, he’s on the smaller side at 5-foot-11 and 195 pounds. But also like Flowers, he still has inside-outside flexibility. Lemon went for 1,156 yards and 11 touchdowns this past season, and that kind of production could help get Lamar Jackson back to MVP levels.”
His 2025 season was the best in college, tallying 79 receptions for 1,156 and 13 total touchdowns — 11 receiving and 2 rushing — in 12 games. The California native stands at 5-foot-11 and weighs 195 pounds.
According to NFL Draft analyst Lance Zierlein, Lemon's NFL comparison is fellow USC star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.
"High-skill, high-volume slot receiver with average size but extraordinary ball skills. Lemon has room for refinement, but not much. He’s intelligent, confident and polished with the ability to make plays on all three levels. Tempo-driven route-runner who misdirects man coverage and separates out of turns but is fairly average after the catch."
Lemon and the Ravens seem to be a perfect fit. We'll see how things transpire in April's draft.
