After signing with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 NFL Draft, Marcus Yarns now has a new platform to showcase his talent after being selected by the Houston Gamblers in the UFL for the 2026 season.
Despite a productive college résumé, Yarns was unable to carve out a roster spot and was released before the season, along with veterans Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Cam Akers.
At the University of Delaware, Yarns proved to be a consistent and durable playmaker. In 2024, he rushed for 844 yards and six touchdowns in just nine games.
Now in the UFL, Yarns will have valuable spring reps and game film, exactly what NFL teams look for when evaluating depth options ahead of training camp.
For Yarns, the Gamblers represent more than a new team; they’re a second chance to push his way back onto the NFL radar.
