SI.com brought up the idea of the New Orleans Saint possibly moving on from a franchise pillar in running back Alvin Kamara ahead of 2026.
Even though Kamara wasn't keen on the idea last season, Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox stated that the team may be more open to the transaction due to the financial benefits.
Of Kamara, he said, "he missed the final six games of the season (2025) with a sprained MCL and is now entering the final year of his contract. With Kamara set to carry an $18.6 million cap hit in 2026, the Saints may be eager to move off of the 30-year-old (31 in July)."
At the projected cost of of a 2026 sixth-round pick and a 2027 seventh-round pick, a number of running back-needy teams may check in on the multi-time All-Pro to see if he can transform their fortunes in 2026.
