When the New Orleans Saints traded Marshon Lattimore to the Commanders last year, many fans were left wondering if it was the right thing to do. They may be feeling a bit better about the decision now. It was announced on Thursday that the Commanders would be releasing Lattimore ahead of the new league year. 

The move clears needed cap space for Washington, but this cannot be what they had in mind when they traded three 2025 draft picks to the Saints for Lattimore.
