The New orleans are currently riding a four-game win streak. As such, they have fallen away from  top-five draft pick conversations and are now shifting gears toward the possibility of building around rookie quarterback Tyler Shough. 

With this in mind, the Athletic put out a mock draft article in which they projected the New Orleans Saints to pick highly sought-after Buckeye defensive back Caleb Downs at eighth overall. 

With the need at quarterback being handled (for now), the Saints can focus on replenishing a defense that has lost players like Marshon Lattimore and Marcus Williams, and who is planning for the eventual retirement of franchise stalwart Cameron Jordan. 

A secondary with names like cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry and Downs combined could be a force in the NFC South.
