Si.com reports that the New Orleans Saints might be soon facing the reality of losing eight-season Saints linebacker Demario Davis to free agency.
At 37 years old, Davis is a rare sight in NFL circles, seeing as though linebackers are normally retired or find themselves as bench support at this stage.
Yet, Davis set a career-high in tackles with 143, and doesn't sound like he's considering stopping just yet.
Davis said in January, "I'm coming back to the NFL. I'm coming back to the NFL. And I'm excited about that. I am super excited about that. I keep training all the way through the Super Bowl so my body feels great. I'm just excited. I'm just excited for the offseason. We'll finish up these games watching them through the Super Bowl and then get into my offseason regimen. ... How that plays out, we shall see."
