New Orleans added an elite receiver out of Arizona State in Jordyn Tyson.
Potential star WR Jordan Tyson is now a member of the New Orleans Saints.
Entering the 2026 NFL Draft on Thursday, the Saints owned the No. 8 overall pick in the first round. No matter where a team stands, whether it is trying to contend right away or still working to reshape its roster, the first round is one of the biggest opportunities of the offseason. This is typically where organizations find cornerstone pieces, and in the NFL, first-round picks are often expected to contribute much sooner than rookies in other sports. With so much talent entering the league every year, these players are frequently counted on to step into major roles from the start, and in some cases, they become stars almost immediately.
When New Orleans turned in its card on Thursday, the Saints selected Jordyn Tyson with their top pick of the draft. The star receiver broke out at Arizona State last season and will be an incredible pairing alongside Chris Olave for the Saints. The dynamic WR can do a little bit of everything and is a bigtime playmaker.
That now puts him in position to be the team’s headline rookie entering the 2026 season, with the expectation that he can make an impact early and help elevate this roster. Clearly, the Saints spent a great deal of time evaluating this year’s class and came away believing this was the right move. As the offseason moves forward, we’ll continue breaking down this pick, along with every other selection New Orleans makes over the next two days and across all seven rounds of the 2026 NFL Draft.
