Saints honor Alvin Kamara's legacy. He achieves elite milestones, joining NFL legends with remarkable career achievements for New Orleans.

Alvin Kamara is one of the greatest running backs in franchise history for the New Orleans Saints (6-11). He got his flowers for it on Saturday.

Saints.com recapped the highlights of Kamara's 2025 season, and while it was not his best season, the star running back reached a few milestones.

The Saints' website shared what Kamara was able to accomplish over the last season. It read as follows.

"Limited to only 11 games due to a knee/ankle injury, running back Alvin Kamara finished his ninth season with the Saints with 131 carries for 471 yards and a touchdown. He also added 33 receptions for 186 yards. Kamara paced the Saints in rushing yards and finished third on the team in yards from scrimmage.

Kamara continued climbing leaderboards. On top of leading the Saints in all time rushing categories, Kamara moved into fifth place in franchise history in receiving yards. In league history, he now sits in 71th place in all-time rushing yards and 68th in yards from scrimmage. Kamara surpassed 600 receptions for his career, only one of five running backs to achieve this feat, joining Larry Centers (827), Marshall Faulk (767), LaDainian Tomlinson (624) and Keith Byars (610). He is also the first player in NFL history to record 600+ rushes and 600+ receptions for only one team in his career."

Sustaining great play through nine years is a feat of its own, but doing so with an offense that is still growing at several positions, most notably at offensive line, makes what Kamara is doing perhaps most impressive.

Joining the ranks of Marshall Faulk and LaDainian Tomlinson as a 600-reception pass catcher is certainly an eye-opener, but the fact that he did it all for one team makes it even more praiseworthy.

Saints head coach Kellen Moore shared his honest thoughts on Kamara.

"I love Alvin. What Alvin has meant to this organization has been awesome. He’s come in and has put in a ton of work. Obviously, these seasons all take different paths and he’s had to navigate injury, so the most important thing for him is just to get healthy and be back to himself...he’s done a really good job of leading this group."

New Orleans is still building back toward contention after struggling to get back in the absence of legendary quarterback Drew Brees. They would love for Kamara to be a part of that return, but are certainly grateful for his contributions over an exemplary NFL career.
