Jordan didn't hold back when asked about offensive linemen.
With the offseason in full swing, NFL players and coaches have some extra time on their hands. Some are on vacation, but others are making appearances on podcasts. Saints great Cam Jordan joined NFL insider Jordan Schultz and NBA player Draymond Green's podcast called "Why is Draymond Green Talking Football?"
Jordan was asked about facing offensive linemen and whether they are athletic or not, and the Saints defensive lineman wasn't shy about his feelings.
"A guy who ain't seen his toes in 10 years, you're telling me I can't beat him off the edge? Stop," Jordan said. "There's the offensive lineman that swear that they are athletic and they're not. They're not."
That's a bold statement, but Jordan continued to specifically call out two of the better offensive linemen in the NFL. One of which is a surefire, first ballot Hall of Famer.
Jordan was then asked specifically about San Francisco 49ers offensive tackle Trent Williams.
"No," Jordan said when asked if Williams is athletic. "He's hella strong, though. And he makes hella highlights off of getting to the second level...He's a dog."
Personally, I disagree with this take as Williams is widely regarded as the best left tackle in football and an athletic freak. Some would argue he's the greatest ever, and his career will continue in 2026. Following their blowout loss to Seattle in the divisional round, the 49ers' left tackle confirmed he will return next season.
However, Jordan didn't stop there.
Jordan was asked about Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive lineman Tristan Wirfs and took a little shot at him, but praised him as an offensive tackle.
"He's fat as Hell," Jordan said. "Stop. Shoutout to Tristan Wirfs for being a Hell of an offensive tackle."
What makes his comments about Wirfs interesting is that both are in the NFC South and divisional rivals. Jordan's remarks made it back to Wirfs, who responded with a tweet aimed at Cam.
Jordan replied to the tweet and wondered if the account was actually the real Wirfs.
"If This the real wirfs great if it ain yall tell the verified one All I said was, you was fat as hell? most OL are Lol. But rent free… hell y’all help pay rent."
The next meeting between the two will be interesting, that's for sure. Nothing like a little trash talk between two rivals within the same division. Circle the first matchup between Tampa Bay and New Orleans when the schedule is released.
