You have to love that answer from the newly paid receiver.

The New Orleans Saints recently extended Chris Olave, following his third 1,000-yard season in the NFL. Last season was his banner season with 100 catches and eight touchdowns. The receiver is content with his new contract. Joining NFL Network, Olave expressed his excitement for the season, his goals, and his love for QB Tyler Shough.

So, Chris, for you, this is year five, right? You've had three 1,000-yard receiver seasons already. What's the goal for you going into this year?

"Of course I got personal goals, but my main goal is just to get in the playoffs, man. We haven't, uh, been to the playoffs since I've been here.

That's the main thing for me. Do whatever I can to provide to the young guys. Uh, of course, do what I do, but just spread that around, spread that competition, spread that culture around to be able to get in those playoffs this year."

There is a bit of a changing of the guard with Cameron Jordan in his last season as a leader, and Olave is saying and doing all the right things in year five. It sounds as if the former Ohio State receiver understands the investment in him and the expectations placed on him as a franchise cornerstone.

The receiver was asked about his time with Shough training in San Diego and how it strengthened the Saints' culture.

Can you maybe give me an idea of what you learned from Tyler, what you learned from Drew Brees down there in San Diego this summer?

"Not really nothing new. Just things I knew. Just the leader he is, doing everything, not just the football field, but, just making sure we straight with the travel, transportation when we was out there.

All the little things, the hotels, just him being who he is. I feel like just putting us first- I feel like he does a great job of that, and I'm super excited for him going into year two."

Things are looking up in New Orleans and the anchors of the new look Saints offense are ready to roll with zero distractions. Olave looks primed for his best season in the NFL with his injury issues in the rear view mirror.
