If the Saints want to win, there are ways to do so.

Another week of football means another week of the New Orleans Saints facing a muscling situation. Owner Gayle Benson, unprompted, spoke up about the team, explaining that she must keep each level of the franchise accountable and that the results must look better moving forward. The pressure was already building for this staff to turn things around after these past two weeks, and Benson increased that pressure by a significant amount.

Like any game, there are going to be matchups that the Saints must take advantage of or make sure they do not allow them to be exposed. Here are some of those matchups

Christen Miller vs. Cam Skattebo

With Jaxson Dart out for the year, the Giants have attempted to rely on Cam Skattebo, but he hasn't been able to get over 100 rushing yards in a game. The Saints will likely lose if they let that happen.

So, if there was a player that we could look at to stop Skattebo, it's Christen Miller. Davon Godchaux’s snaps should continue to drop, which means Miller’s will rise. He takes up so much space and can open up lanes for the linebackers to stop the rusher. He's also just a great run defender. This is the best chance so far for Miller to have a big game, and the Saints need it

Isaiah Likely vs. the Saints Pass Defense

The Saints have really struggled to cover TEs this season, and in Week 6, they face a team that loves to go to their starting TE, Isaiah Likely. With Malik Nabers taking up so much attention in the passing game, it allows Likely to get open more easily, and he is such a clear threat in the redzone. Jonas Sanker will likely (no pun intended) take this matchup, and it's going to be really interesting to see how he does.

The Saints Pass Rush vs. the Giants Offensive Line

This one is dependent on an injury. If Giants tackle Jermaine Eluemunor is out for this game, the Saints should be able to get to the QB and disrupt their passing attack. The reason why I put so much emphasis on should is because we haven't seen that consistently, especially if offenses put extra blocks onto Chase Young’s side.

If the run game does get stopped, the next step is to pressure the QB, and the defense could get a couple of turnovers.
