Some players currently on the roster could be on another team in 2026.
After free agency, some position groups on the New Orleans Saints' roster got a bit packed. For example, signing Travis Etienne and Ty Chandler has increased the number of RBs to 6. Questions now begin to rise with the other players in the room, and after the 2026 NFL Draft, there's a real chance that continues all around the roster.
When looking at the New Orleans Saints' entire roster, here are some players who could be on their way out after the draft.
QB Spencer Rattler
One of the most surprising additions this offseason was the Saints' signing of QB Zach Wilson to a 1-year contract. This was an interesting move by the Saints, but made Sense for competition reasons for the backup QB spot. But it could also hint towards a potential QB move. Spencer Rattler has been a part of many QB trade rumors this offseason, and if a team like the Arizona Cardinals is interested, the Saints could get something good in return.
New Orleans will probably look to add a QB during undrafted free agency, and the Saints may want to get something in return now. The only way that happens is if Wilson or a potential UDFA shows the ability to be a backup, but it could happen.
RBs Alvin Kamara and Kendre Miller
I mentioned the RBs earlier, and they have to be mentioned here. Devin Neal is still a young option that would not make sense to move on from, and Audric Estime stepped up when needed last season, so keeping him would make sense. That leaves Alvin Kamara, who has been subject to many retirement rumors, and Kendre Miller, who could be released if the Saints do not believe they can rely on his health.
It's clear from the visits/meetings the Saints have had during this draft process that they want to add yet another RB to this roster, and if that happens, it basically guarantees that at least two of the current RBs will not be on the roster next season.
RG Cesar Ruiz
The Saints have done a really great job fixing the offensive line this offseason, but that RG spot is still not solid. Going into 2026 with Cesar Ruiz there is fine, but there is a clear chance to upgrade at that spot. If New Orleans selects a guard on day 2, it opens up an excellent oppurtunity to move on from Ruiz and potentially upgrade at that RG spot. That could make the Saints' offensive line one of the best in the NFL.
