Saints icon Drew Brees makes a historic return to the Superdome, stepping into the broadcast booth to analyze the intense Saints-Falcons rivalry for FOX.
For the first time since retiring as the most prolific passer in franchise history, Drew Brees will be back in the Superdome not just to wave to the crowd, but to break down the action.
FOX Sports has confirmed that Brees will serve as the color analyst for the Week 12 NFC South rivalry clash between the New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday (November 23, 2025). Kickoff is scheduled for 3:25 p.m. CT.
A New Role on a Familiar Stage
Brees will join play-by-play announcer Adam Amin and sideline reporter Kristina Pink for the broadcast. This assignment marks a significant milestone in Brees' broadcasting comeback. While it is his second game in the booth for FOX, following his debut last week calling the Giants vs. Packers game, it is his very first time calling a Saints game for the network.
The game represents a homecoming for the Hall of Famer, who played 15 seasons in New Orleans, bringing the city its first and only Super Bowl title. His return to the Caesars Superdome booth is expected to add an electric layer of nostalgia to one of the NFL’s most bitter rivalries.
Second Act with FOX
After a brief hiatus from broadcasting following a one-year stint with NBC in 2021, Brees officially joined FOX Sports earlier this month. He was brought on to replace Mark Sanchez on the network's "C" crew, signing a multi-year deal that pairs him with Amin, one of the industry's rising play-by-play stars.
Critics and fans alike will be watching closely to see how Brees handles the dynamic of analyzing the team he defined for a decade and a half. In his FOX debut last week, viewers noted his comfort level seemed improved from his rookie broadcasting year, but calling a game for the "Black and Gold" presents a unique challenge in remaining objective while sitting in a stadium where his jersey number, #9, is iconic.
The Matchup
The timing of Brees's arrival couldn't be better for FOX. The Saints (2-8) are coming off a bye week and looking to play spoiler against a Falcons team (3-7) struggling with injuries to key playmakers. With the Superdome crowd likely to give Brees a thunderous ovation, the atmosphere will be charged, providing a perfect backdrop for the broadcast team.
Fans can tune in to FOX at 3:25 p.m. CT this Sunday to hear Brees, Amin, and Pink call the action.
