Despite the loss, some Saints rose to the occasion. Discover PFF's top offensive standouts from the Rams' dominant Week 9 victory.

The New Orleans Saints fell to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 9, with a final score of 34-10. Great offensive performances were easy to find for the home team. However, some deeper research is needed to find players for New Orleans that thrived on that side of the ball. Here are the top offensive performers in the matchup, via Pro Football Focus.

Luke Fortner, Center, Saints: 83.0 Pass Block

Fortner led New Orleans in pass block grade in what was his best performance of the season. In 27 pass blocking snaps, he committed no penalties, allowed no sacks, and yielded zero quarterback pressures. Even more impressive is that the center’s standout performance came with a new starting quarterback under center. Fortner has done an admirable job filling in for the injured Erik McCoy. His 80.9 overall grade this year leads the team and is tied for No. 2 among centers with at least 100 snaps played.

Matthew Stafford, Quarterback, Rams: 85.0 Offense

Stafford continues to show that he is criminally underrated. He did whatever he wanted in this game, completing 75% of his passes for 281 yards,4 touchdowns, and no turnovers. His 140.8 Passer Rating was his best since Week 11 last year. The veteran QB leads the league in passing yards per game and touchdown passes, with just two interceptions. He ranks No. 2 among quarterbacks in overall PFF grade.

Kelvin Banks Jr, Left Tackle, Saints: 84.4 Run Block

The offensive trenches were a rare strength of this Saints team in a game with few bright spots. Banks Jr. paced the team in run block grade and also fared well as a pass blocker. This is promising news for the Black and Gold. Prior to Week 9, the rookie tackle’s best run blocking grade was a 71.8, and he had been below 60 in four of his eight games played. If he can continue to show this type of improvement, Banks Jr. will be a staple of the offensive line.

Puka Nacua, Wide Receiver, Rams: 91.6 Offense

Nacua had a big day in his return from a two-week absence. He caught seven passes for 95 yards and a touchdown before leaving the game with a rib injury. Coach McVay took a cautious approach, and said that Nacua could have returned if the score had been closer. This is Nacua’s third game of the year with a PFF grade of at least 91. He leads all wide receivers in both offense grade and receiving grade in 2025 while ranking No. 2 in receptions and receiving yards per game.
