The Seahawks face a tough schedule, but does Mike Macdonald's team have enough firepower to ride the stormy seas?

The Seattle Seahawks know that they have gone from the hunter to the hunted in 2026 as Super Bowl champs, and that brings a whole new level of pressure.

Firstly, you are expected to be great, and secondly, every week, you are going to get every team's best shot. Why? Because every team will want to slay the Super Bowl champs.

Looking at Seattle's schedule, it is a tough year on paper for Mike Macdonald's team, but they have built up enough credits that some think they can navigate it.

But come the end of the regular season, what can be expect Seattle's record to be?

Afterall, they will face the New England Patriots, Los Angeles Chargers, Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys, the Philadelphia Eagles, plus the daunting NFC West as well.

The Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers loom as decisive games in terms of the pecking order in the NFC and the division. So, nine of their 17 games are against good to elite competition in 2026, so Macdonald's team will have their work cut out for them.

But what record do we think they'll have?

NFL.com's Ali Bhanpuri has the Seahawks finishing 11-6, making the playoffs as a wildcard team and being the No. 5 seed.

"The reigning champs have just two early afternoon East Coast games this season after having five last year," Bhanpuri wrote. "Their biggest hurdle appears to be Weeks 4-8 -- a five-game stretch that includes four double-digit-win teams from a year ago plus the Chiefs.

"If they can reach their Week 11 bye two to three games over .500, they should have the necessary cushion to survive their final four contests -- which include home/away affairs with the division-rival Rams. Given the increased level of competition, a slight step back after a truly magical season seems right for this talented squad."

Seattle does have a tough stretch from weeks four through eight, but the silver lining is that all but one of the five games are at home, so the Seahawks will likely fancy themselves to at least go 3-2 during that span.

Of course, this is all a projection, but an 11-6 season after a 14-win year in 2025 isn't a bad record, and it gives the Seahawks another shot at a Super Bowl.

They would have punched their ticket to the playoffs and once there, anything can happen.
