Holding the 32nd overall pick, the Seahawks could go in any direction, but what position takes priority?
The Seattle Seahawks' biggest roster need for some is clear to see.
With the defense being raided, the thought is that corner could be a big emphasis in the upcoming draft, as well as an edge player.
Mick Macdonald has needs at both positions, but there is also another one that has been popping up a lot lately in several mock drafts, and that's running back.
Kenneth Walker is now a Kansas City Chief, and Zach Charbonnet will likely be out of action for the first portion of the year as he rehabs his torn ACL.
That doesn't leave new offensive coordinator Brian Fleury with too much ammunition to work with, does it?
George Holani has gotten some kind words from Macdonald, while Kenny McIntosh and Emanuel Wilson make up the rest of the room.
We have seen Notre Dame running back Jadarian Price mocked to Seattle several times, and as Jeremiyah Love's backup, Price is seen as having a lot of value.
But it appears the Seahawks might have their eye on another running back, according to ESPN's Mike Miller, and that's Arkansas' Mike Washington Jr.
"It's no secret the Seahawks want to add a running back in this class, and I've heard Mike Washington Jr. (Arkansas) has met with them in the run-up to the draft," Miller wrote.
The question is, do the Seahawks want a player to come in and be the starter, or someone who can play the backup/rotational role?
Washington Jr. is coming off his best college season, posting 1,070 yards and 8 TDs, along with 226 yards and a TD from 28 receptions.
So that is some good production, plus when we add in that Washington Jr. averaged a crisp 6.4 yards per clip, that makes us take notice.
A downhill power runner, Washington Jr. is a brutal tone-setter and is known for being a consistent breaker of tackles. Seattle could use someone like that.
Plus, his ability as a receiver, while limited in college, did show he has value there too, so Fleury could find several uses for Washington in his offense.
We know the Seahawks are looking at their options at running back, and Washington Jr. might be a name to keep an eye on.
