The Seahawks' roster is about as well-rounded as it gets, but one position deserves to be reinforced.

The Seattle Seahawks' offseason has been rather uneventful, as Mike Macdonald's Super Bowl-winning team has gone about its business in the shadows.

Yes, some players have left via free agency, but the Seahawks managed to retain some, while also further bolstering the roster in the NFL Draft.

Granted, it is tough to hit every offseason goal, given there was so much to accomplish, but the Seahawks, you could argue, gave it a good shot.

However, as Seattle now rests for the next couple of weeks before OTAs begin, the roster John Schneider has constructed shows few weaknesses. And that says a lot considering the losses in free agency.

But there is one position that could have been reinforced this offseason, and yes, it still could be, and that's EDGE.

With ESPN's Aaron Schatz naming it one position the Seahawks have to address.

“The Seahawks like to rotate their edge rushers, as their top four last season all played between 36% and 56% of defensive snaps," Schatz wrote. "However, Boye Mafe left in free agency and was never replaced. DeMarcus Lawrence is 34, and Uchenna Nwosu will be 30 in December.

“This would be a good spot for a veteran who wants a shot at a ring, such as Joey Bosa, Haason Reddick or Leonard Floyd -- or the Seahawks could go younger with AJ Epenesa or Mike Danna. The Seahawks helped fix this hole on Tuesday by signing veteran Dante Fowler Jr.”

The thing here is the Seahawks absolutely have the financial means to go out and get a couple of edge rushers if they want.

Per Over The Cap, Seattle still has $32 million in cap space.

So, a one-year rental for someone like Haason Reddick or Joey Bosa can easily be done, but the question is do the Seahawks want to make a move for a veteran? Or are they comfortable with the options already on the roster?

Of course, Seattle just signed Dante Fowler Jr. to a one-year deal worth up to $5 million, so he can be a rotational player. But can Mike Morris or Jared Ivey take that next step and become contributors for Macdonald?

There's no reason to think they can't, but also, if Bosa or Reddick become available, should Seattle take a flier?

I think that should just to gauge interest, because there's no denying that the Seahawks need more juice from their pass rush, and the internal development the franchise is banking on might not be enough.
