The Seahawks didn't look like themselves in Week 3.

The Seattle Seahawks slumped to their first loss of the season, losing 33-31 to the Washington Commanders at Northwest Stadium on Sunday.

In Sam Darnold's return, the Seahawks seemingly forgot how to run the football, with No. 14 having a whopping 45 pass attempts, while the run game managed just 17 attempts.

The Commanders were good value for their win, as Marcus Mariota stepped in for Jayden Daniels and hung 33 points on a Seattle defense that we thought was going to feast.

It is a little reality check for Mike Macdonald's Seahawks as they began the year 2-0, and coming on the road to face a backup quarterback, the thought was that they should take care of business.

But Washington took it up to them, and Mariota iced the game late for the home team with a huge third-down conversion.

Let's get to the good, bad and ugly from the game.

Good - JSN continues ridiculous form

Another game, and another Jaxon Smith-Njigba show, as No. 11 totaled 128 yards and 2 TDs from 10 receptions.

He now has 405 yards and 6 TDs through three games, as he is on his way again to be considered for Offensive Player of the Year.

The Seahawks have one of the best receivers in football, and he's looking exactly like that through three games.

Bad - No run game

In Darnold's return, throwing 45 times isn't sustainable, and with Jadarian Price, Emanuel Wilson, and George Holani combining for just 39 yards on 17 attempts, that isn't the sort of production Seattle wants.

The Commanders stuffed the run superbly, allowing just 2.2 yards per carry from those running backs mentioned above.

Given the elements, one could be forgiven for thinking Seattle might lean on the run game, but they went away from it.

Ugly - Seahawks' turnovers

Anytime you lose the turnover battle 3-0, you aren't going to win many games of football.

Two Darnold interceptions and Price's fumble on the Seahawks' second offensive drive of the game.

The offense, while it put up a lot of yards, didn't cover itself in glory.

In truth, we could have gone with another ugly one, as this Seahawks defense allowed 33 points, which isn't good, but they forced seven punts and allowed just three third-down conversions.

The offense wasn't great folks.
