There is usually a lot of roster turnover each offseason, but for the Seahawks' offensive line, they are running it back under Fleury.
The Seattle Seahawks have managed to do something that not many other teams can accomplish in an offseason, and that is keep the majority of last year's roster together.
Yes, Kenneth Walker, Coby Bryant, Riq Woolen and Boye Mafe are out, but that's it.
So, Mike Macdonald will be looking to repeat as Super Bowl champs in 2026, and he'll be able to call on the majority of the players who helped him achieve it last season.
Roster turnover is inevitable, and for the Seahawks, in one of the most important positions as it pertains to consistency, they've managed to keep the entire room together.
And I'm talking about the offensive line.
Charles Cross, Jalen Sundell, Anthony Bradford, Grey Zabel, and Abe Lucas all return to be the protectors for Sam Darnold.
And for Lucas, the ability to have all five starters from last season back is a mental load off his shoulders.
"I'm excited about it because there's a lot of continuity in the room," Lucas said. "Feel bad for Beau [Stephens] a little bit just being the only rook, but he's taken everybody well, and everybody likes him. It's just nice to have the gang together, so to speak, and not have too much shuffling around or anything; in that way, we're able to really hit the ground running."
But that isn't the only thing that Lucas is loving this offseason.
With Brian Fleury now the offensive coordinator, taking over from Klint Kubiak, who is now the Las Vegas Raiders head coach, sometimes a change of that magnitude means a learning curve with a new system and verbiage.
However as Lucas details, there's continuity there as well.
“It helps not having to learn a whole total new system this year, so we’re all just kind of picking up where we left off and just continuing to go forward," he added.
It is one of the most underrated aspects of an offseason, and the Seahawks have managed, for the most part, to keep this band together.
Now, will that automatically translate to on field success? No, but it gives the Seahawks a much better shot at remaining at the top of the NFL food chain in 2026.
